Review of Nothing Like The Sun, written by Melanee Murray at the Sage Ignite Festival, Calgary
"... the production also boasts an impressive performance by the play’s author, Melanee Murray, as a young Canadian woman in search of her sister. Playing the righteous intellectual to the smarmy advances of a criminal autocrat named Gilbert (Ian FitzGerald) and the seemingly friendly motivations of a jaded prostitute, Ramona (Norma Lewis), Murray’s performance and script both balance comedy with earnest devotion to period drama."

Review of The Motherfucker With The Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis at Alberta Theatre Projects, Calgary
"Murray has the difficult task of playing the only non-funny role as Victoria, an angry and betrayed woman grasping for relief. Her failed sexual scene with Jackie is one of the play’s few truly interesting moments and Murray gets the credit for making it work."
LYNN SLOTKIN @ THE SLOTKIN LETTER
Review of The Real McCoy by Andrew Moodie Fourth Line Theatre, Ontario
"As Nanny Hubbard and various other roles, Melanee Murray has a facility with accents; is matter of fact; has perfect timing and imbues her characters with a grace and yet gentle toughness."
THE CALGARY SUN
Review of To Kill A Mockingbird based on the novel by Harper Lee at Theatre Calgary
"Director Dennis Garnhum cast the supporting roles with some of Calgary’s finest character actors including Valerie Anne Pearson, Duval Lang, Laura Parken, Joyce Doolittle and Melanee Murray"
